La Cafetera Roja refuse labels: they are not rock, not trip hop, not reggae, not chanson, not jazz, not Latin. Their musical melting pot has been slowly simmered by time, enriched by “world sound,” and they have invented their own language. Today they are both “hip hop–world” and “rock-electro.” Leaving Barcelona behind, their Spanish blends with French, German and English, creating their own kind of Esperanto. Their sound overflows with the joy of playing together.
