After ten years of siege, the Gregs have taken the city of Troy. Their behavior has been so violent that Athena, despite being their ally, decides to punish them severely. The Greeks kill, rape, murder, desecrate the temples of the gods. In their spoils of war, Trojan women, considered as commodities, were cruelly allocated, each by lot, to a man. It is this drama that the play recounts. One of the most powerful texts ever written against war.
